ABOUT US
THE TRBN™ VISION
In 1998 Rainer Schmoll, had a vision of a more laid-back business network with a low stress, west coast feel, and that vision became the Thinkreferrals Business Network, now known as TRBN™. The organization started out simply to offer a way for solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and other levels of small or medium sized businesses to connect and work together to compete in an ever expanding business environment, without the added stress of forced weekly referrals. With a history as a self employed computer electronics specialist, with significant web development experience, there was an online component in that vision, with referrals and ideas exchanged online, and a complex backend system was developed. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before the realization that online exchanges felt much less personal and were significantly less effective than in person exchanges, business people didn't want to rely on technology when in person felt so much more personal and productive, and the online backend system was shelved before 2000.

Early on, we felt that we could be so much more, and we expanded our vision from a simple Business Referral Network, to an organization that takes it to the next level by embracing various business education and collaboration strategies to help our members compete in the always changing business world. We engage in Mastermind type support for each other, members collaborate, share ideas and even hold each other accountable to our goals, our organization along with all our members are always there for each other in business and even in personal struggles.

As an organization, right from the start, we were always about building good will within the community we do business in, by supporting non profit organizations and local charities. We eventually started helping families in need directly through our own registered non profit society.
WE REGISTERED OUR OWN NON PROFIT SOCIETY IN 2010
We have been supporting non profit societies and charities since we created TRBN™ in 1998, this was another way we established ourselves as a community minded Business Network. In 2010 we decided to do more, we started sponsoring Families in need within the communities we network in, by way of various community groups and local bureaus that help families in need. The first year was such a success that we found the need to register a non profit society and began hosting fundraising events to expand our ability to help more families. The Think Giving non profit Society is a 100% volunteer organization, no one receives any remuneration.
FUTURE GROWTH
We are always looking to expand our network to connect more people across the province, not only in the lower mainland of BC where we have a strong network, but other areas as well. We are always looking for individuals that wish to connect their local community with a professional business network.

In the Lower Mainland we are looking to connect local business professionals with chapters in areas such as Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, South Surrey, Cloverdale, Fort Langley, Aldergrove, Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack.

In the Okanogan we would like to connect local business professionals with chapters in areas such as Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Armstrong, Vernon, Lake Country, Kelowna, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, Okanogan Falls, Oliver, and Osoyoos.

On Vancouver Island, we would like to connect local business professionals with chapters in areas such as Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Comox and Campbell River.

Connecting your local area with a network such as ours, helps to expand the reach of every member. Remember, It's not what you know or who you know, but who knows you.
